Nestled within the rugged landscape of rural Victoria, this new single-storey residential dwelling is designed to embrace its natural surround through a refined, horizontal profile and an organic material palette.
The building's low-slung form is characterized by expansive floor-to-ceiling double glazing that frames the landscape, flanked by weathered grey-tinted vertical timber cladding. Our 3D visualization captures the subtle interplay between the silver-grey timber grain, crisp architectural line work, and expansive glazing reflections—setting the structure against native flora to evoke a quiet sense of permanence and rustic sophistication.

Designed as a modern second dwelling on a lot, this project balances residential density with refined, coastal-inspired architectural form. The building's massing utilizes a solid base with textured face brickwork, supporting a dynamic upper level with steep gables and articulated vertical standing-seam cladding. Warm horizontal timber battening softens the entrance and window accents, creating a welcoming transition. Our 3D visualization accurately conveys the tactile interplay between the rustic brick aesthetic, light-grey Colorbond standing seam profiles, and warm timber element.

Designed to seamlessly connect the existing residence with a contemporary two-storey footprint,
this extension relies on a clear dialogue between architectural form and tactile materiality.
A central glazed volume acts as an articulated connection point, housing the main living zone and vertical circulation. The primary two-storey form anchors the private rooms and wet areas. Our 3D visualization highlights the intentional contrast between original structures and proposed modern finishes—expertly balancing rendered cement, natural timber screening, and dark Colorbond Longline 305 cladding against the regional Victorian landscape.
